Remembering the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice!

The Ancestor Guy is remembering the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice that signaled the end to World War 1 and honoring those who served. Earlier this year, we posted a blog on a Vietnam Veteran's patch collection and artifacts that he received from his wife's grandfather who served in France during World War 1. We thank all veterans for their service.

On November 11, 1918, Germany signed an agreement with the Allies which ended World War 1. It was known as the Great War and the War to end all Wars. It was deadly for both military soldiers and civilians. Many artifacts from this conflict still exist today and have been past down from generation to generation . Although a bit worn with age, these military helmets, backpacks, signal flags and even gas masks have been put on display to honor those who served in this war and for the benefit of the next generation.
