This is National Heritage week in Ireland!


This week is National Heritage Week in Ireland. There are a number of activities and events planned to honor the natural, built and cultural heritage encouraging the conservation and preservation. This week is part of a joint collaborative effort with the European Heritage Days. Forty other European countries are also taking part in this joint initiative. The aim of National Heritage Week in Ireland is to promote the heritage of Ireland and encourage its conservation and preservation. This is a nine day event and there are many activities throughout the island. Many of these events and tours are free.

www.heritageweek.ie is a site managed by the Heritage Council in Ireland. So if you are visiting Ireland in the next week and interested in attending Viking Heritage Day in Woodstown or take


a walking tour of Medieval Dublin, here's a great way to see some exciting sites and learn more about the heritage of Ireland and your heritage as well!
